Kelly's career spans 20 years, multiple settings, and varied specializations. She has a doctorate in Social Science with a specialization in Prevention Science, and she has focused her clinical work and programming on trauma, violence prevention, survivor services, and mental health. With a master's degree in social work, her approach prioritizes individuals, couples, and families as they are impacted by their social environments and various contexts.
Kelly has served in supervisory, management, and executive leadership roles in government, non-profit, and clinical settings. In addition to her hands-on experience, Kelly has taught at the undergraduate, master’s, and doctorate levels, embodying her philosophy of lifelong learning and growth.
As a dedicated social scientist, Kelly approaches her work through a lens of prevention and hope. She prioritizes humility, openness, partnership, and equity-focused empowerment in everything she does, both professionally and personally.

Kelly Hooper-McCamey, Esq. has practiced law for 20 years, with a focus on child physical
and sexual abuse, sexual assault, child homicides, elder abuse and human trafficking. Adept
at recognizing the effects of abuse in all forms, she brings a true commitment to aiding the
young and vulnerable. Ms. Hooper-McCamey served as an Assistant State’s Attorney for Baltimore City and Prince George’s County and as an Assistant Attorney General for the State of Maryland. In these roles, she investigated the most heinous crimes against women, children and seniors. She worked tirelessly with medical experts, social workers, law enforcement, and other professionals to look at each case from a holistic approach. This not only helped obtain
convictions but provided a means for the victim to return to their communities with a greater
sense of strength and personal resiliency.
Kelly is adept at reading people and leveraging proven analytical, problem-solving skills to
create successful programs and initiatives. Her years of building and cultivating
relationships in law, social services, state and federal agencies, strengthens her ability to
connect with partners from all areas in the community. As a court-certified Best Interest Attorney, Ms. Hooper-McCamey strives to educate young people on preventive strategies to keep them safe and allow them the freedom to grow and develop into healthy young adults.
As the principal attorney for Hooper-McCamey Law, LLC, Kelly has combined her extensive
experience and expertise in a new way to serve Marylanders. The focus of Hooper-McCamey
Law, LLC is to represent and support children, seniors and veterans. This support comes
from court advocacy and representation, education and outreach.
Alisha earned her M.S. from the University of Baltimore, where she studied criminal justice with a focus on victim services. Passionate about data-informed programming, she has worked with non-profits throughout her professional career. In her most recent position, Alisha was quickly promoted from Data Coordinator to Manager of Data, leading a team of researchers in monitoring data for a large and rapidly growing agency in Baltimore. To this collective, Alisha brings specialized knowledge in data management and analysis.
